i'm not jumping into spending a bunch on upgrades either. i know what you mean about taking time to save some for what comes up. i don't know what you mean though about my thought process now having put me in the place i was in with the z. i never spent a dime on the z to do something that it didn't need. that's the problem. it was ALWAYS repairs, even if they did give an opp for an improvement here and there. the miata needs no repairs. it's not perfect, but there are no dark clouds lurking that suggest a larger problem in the future. the z was full of these.
